Coach service

To assist parents, we provide a fleet of coaches to bring pupils to school in the mornings and take them home in the afternoon.

All coaches are scheduled to arrive by 8.25am.

Coaches will start the return journeys at 4.05 pm from Hartswood Sports Ground. They will then proceed to the school’s Dining Hall (PMH) car park to pick up the majority of the passengers.

Students are asked to be at their stop 5 minutes before the allocated departure time.

Late coaches – All students are required to book onto the late coaches on the day they wish to travel before 2pm. Students can book the late coach either at the Porters’ desk (located at the main school entrance) or by scanning the QR code (located at the Porters’ desk, outside the PMH Dinning Hall and on the Pavilion Building at RGS Hartswood Sports Ground).

Route 10 Shalford – RGS: Update

Following the reopening of West Street in Dorking, the Dorking High Street stop (opposite the White Horse) is now open. The stop outside the Mole Valley District Council offices will remain as a permanent additional stop.

Due to full capacity, the following routes are currently unable to accommodate occasional users: Route 1 (Banstead & Coulsdon), Route 2 (Caterham), Route 4 (Dorking)

Reigate & Redhill Station shuttle services

This service takes students arriving by train at Reigate train station to Reigate Grammar School in the mornings. It helps students who carry bags and instruments and gets students to school in time for registration. The cost of this service is £1.00 per day.

Trains running direct into Reigate include Guildford, Dorking, East Croydon, Purley, Coulsdon
South and Merstham. Almost all trains arrive into Reigate at just before 08:30.

The Oxted coach service can collect students arriving by train at Redhill train station to Reigate Grammar School in the mornings. The cost of this service is £1.00 per day.

Occasional tickets are available from the Porters’ Desk. The tickets will be collected by the driver at the start of the journey. Occasional tickets are not available on all routes.

Late coaches

The late coaches run Monday to Thursday inclusive and enable those staying for extra curricular activities a convenient and safe passage home. Late coaches are free for those students holding a termly ticket and are priced at the occasional ticket rate for zones 1, 2, 3 and 4.

We run six late coaches that travel North, North-West, South, East and West. Students using the late coach from Hartswood at 5.30pm will be brought back to the main school with the option of either staying on that coach or transferring to an alternative late coach service at 5.45pm.

Please note that the coach routes can be adapted slightly from year to year as we work hard to accommodate our students.
