U13 Girls hockey team through to national finals for the third year running
The RGS hockey programme has continued its run of good form with three girls’ teams making it through to the quarter finals of the Independent Schools Hockey Cup (ISHC). The U13, U15 and U19 teams have played some fantastic hockey enabling them to progress well in this national competition.
Defending champions, the U13s played their last quarter final match this week. It was a tight game with a 1-1 scoreline when the final whistle blew. After a period of extra time the tension had increased but the scoreline remained leading to penalties. Amazing saves by RGS keeper Annis W and calm nerves by the stroke takers generated a 4-1 victory for #TeamReigate! The U13s now progress to the finals on 11 March.
The U15s play Surbiton tonight (Friday 31 January) and the U15s travel to Milfield on Wednesday 5 February. Good luck girls!
