Sporting success for Matt

Congratulations to Matt W who, from a group of over 200 boys from across the county, has successfully secured a place with the Harlequins Developing Player Programme (DPP), the entry level into their Academy system. This is yet another amazing achievement in Matt’s sporting career.

Matt was a Surrey county representative footballer when he first joined RGS as well as being a county age group (CAG) cricketer. Whilst he remains within Surrey’s u13 CAG cricket squad, he now also represents Surrey at hockey and is now in his second year skippering the u13 Surrey Panthers.

To be a county representative at one sport is achievement in itself but to be a four time county representative, including all of RGS’s three main boys’ sports at the same time is something else. Well done Matt on all of these well deserved and hard earned achievements!
