Entry at 11+

For entry in September 2025

Boys and girls who will be 11 years old on 1 September of the year of proposed entry sit an entrance examination early in January of the same year. There will be three papers, one each in Mathematics, English and verbal & non-verbal Reasoning.

  • Application deadline (includes bursary/scholarship registration): Monday 11 November 2024
  • Scholarship forms returned by: Monday 25 November 2024
  • Bursary forms returned by: Friday 3 January 2025
  • Entrance Exam: Tuesday 7 January 2025  – During the day, prospective pupils also have the opportunity to sample one of the many activities that are on offer. All candidates will automatically be considered for academic scholarships.
  • Interview days: Saturday 18 and Saturday 25 January 2025 – Candidates are interviewed by a member of staff and will be asked to talk about their hobbies and interests. Candidates will also have a group interview with the Headmaster.
  • Scholarship Assessment Days: Saturday 18, Wednesday 22, Thursday 23, Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January 2025
  • Offers posted: Thursday 13 February 2025 
  • Acceptance forms returned by: Wednesday 5 March 2025 (12 noon)

ENTRANCE EXAM GUIDANCE (for 2025 entry)

There will be three exams: Mathematics, English and a written Reasoning test (verbal and non-verbal). Sample entrance examination papers can be found below.
